What Clients Are Saying Village Charcoal Grill (GG)
5 /5 ruken kocahal: We visited with our family on a busy Saturday and everything was excellent. The food was delicious and the service was warm and attentive. Highly recommend this lovely family run restaurant
5 /5 Lia Lothian: Having visited in the past, I must say that Village Charcoal Grill really is the best Turkish cuisine in south London. The service is so warm and friendly, and the portion sizes are generous - definitely enough to keep you full until the next day! Definitely recommend their mixed mezes and sea bass, although anything you order is guaranteed to be fresh and delicious.
5 /5 Kubilay: Visited this very busy family-run Turkish restaurant on Saturday evening. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommend the homemade doner and Lamb shank
5 /5 Redwan Ahmed: Came in on a very busy day and still received excellent service. The food was full of flavour and beautifully prepared. Would definitely recommend.
5 /5 Timur Zeytincioglu: I always have a wonderful experience here with my family, exceptional service and the best Turkish food in the area by a mile!
Jamie Roberts We’ve been driving past ChefCheer for weeks and finally decided to give it a go one Sunday evening. The restaurant was very quiet and its relatively small inside. Decor and music made us feel like we’re back home in Egypt. This Iraqi/Persian food is so so good. Really generous portions and super tasty. We were given a complimentary bowl of lentil soup, which I would 100% go back for! The lamb kozi just melted in your mouth and the mixed grill was delicious. The only disappointment was the okra stew which was a little slimey. There looked like there’s a large table toward the back but otherwise tables are for 2-4 people. If you’re a big group I would recommend booking. We need to give this local restaurant some love! We can’t wait to go back and try some of the other dishes.
Monika S We had a lovely time here after my son’s Confirmation. Brilliant food, served quickly, which was a feat considering how busy the place was. All the staff were very friendly and made our experience even better. Emily, the manager, answered all my questions when I was making the booking and ensured we got the prime spot - thank you! Fantastic place that I can definitely recommend x
Martin Kimber Absolutely outstanding food. Well on par with far more expensive equivalents in central London. The staff were very hospitable too. The beer was slightly expensive for the area and maybe one or two too many kids (not the restaurant’s fault), but great atmosphere and decor. A stand out gem in Cheam, highly recommend. Also nice that it IS dog friendly (something they could do a better job of advertising).
Cosmin Sporea Had a great evening at No 8 The Broadway! The food was delicious from start to finish — everything tasted really fresh and well made. The staff were friendly and checked in just the right amount without hovering. The place itself looks lovely inside, with a relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. Easily one of the best spots in Cheam for Mediterranean food!
Anastasiia Anastasiia Absolutely love this place, it’s my go-to sushi spot every single time. The food is always unbelievably fresh, just like the first visit. The main guy is incredibly welcoming and remembers my preferences, which makes every visit feel personal. Never had a single bad experience here. Easily a 10/10
