5 /5 Moniek Lukkes: I walked over from Blenheim Palace for a Sunday roast at the Woodstock Arms. I dont think I have had a bigger, tastier Sunday roast than the one I got served here. The beef was delicious, with all the classic staples: yorkshire pudding, gravy, potatoes and veg. Delicious! The staff were incredibly friendly and didnt mind at all that I took up the table for a while because I was painting and drawing.

5 /5 Christopher Land: This was a faultess experience here at the Woodstock Arms. Rob and his team were fantastic. I had mentioned in advance that it was a special occasion and they handled it perfectly. The service was warm, relaxed and professional without ever feeling over the top. We felt genuinely well looked after. It made an already important day even better. The food was outstanding and well priced. Well worth the visit. We will definitely be back.

5 /5 Penny: Just back from a relaxing two night stay in this lovely pub. Even before we arrived the telephone contact was first rate - relaxed and friendly, which carried through to the first greeting as we walked through the door on a very busy day in the pub. It felt like being welcomed by old friends. This is my perfect pub. Plainly loved by the locals, real fire, lots of seating areas, good food and fabulous service from every single member of staff. I won’t single out any one person because it wouldn’t be fair, but shout out to the adorable Black Labrador Pepe, the “house dog”, who melts the hearts of all who meet him. We ate dinner here both nights and the menu was varied and good, with a special mention for the Cornish fish soup; delicious! Portions are generous, and the cooked breakfast was amazing. My room was comfortable and peaceful, with a large bed, and I slept really well. Remember this is a quite old pub though and not a modern hotel, so it has the odd quirk here and there (eg.quite narrow stairs to the rooms) - which to me only adds to its charm. I loved every aspect of it, but what stands out is the extraordinarily good service, where no request was too much trouble, and where staff and owner alike were obviously very keen to ensure that our stay was as enjoyable and restful as possible. It was an altogether wonderful stay, and I will definitely visit again.

5 /5 Jonathan Astley: Very pleasant hotel, attentive staff. Good beer selection and the breakfast was outstanding. Breakfast staff were very well trained and you felt like nothing was too much trouble. The bar was very busy in a Saturday evening and I recommend booking a table in advance for dinner. Good menu selection of local seasonal food items.

5 /5 Sarah Coffinatchi: We were booked for The Buttery at Woodstock to stay for our yearly Halloween at Blenheim Palace pilgrimage. The Buttery cancelled us last minute as they were suddenly closing down (!?) Luckily we managed to secure a room at The Woodstock Arms in time. And we are so glad!! The location is perfect for visiting Blenheim Palace and Woodstock itself is so gorgeous to visit. But The Woodstock Arms was the best unexpected surprise of all. Firstly the outside of the building is inviting with its charming features but inside we were met with a cosy fire and decor and the friendliest staff ever. Our room was lovely and had everything needed. The shower was good and powerful, tea and coffee making facilities and comfy bed. I had such a good nights sleep! We had dinner and breakfast in the pub below our rooms and each different staff member was just so friendly and attentive. The food was also incredible. I actually can’t stop thinking about their French Onion soup now! What started as a last minute panic when The Buttery cancelled our booking and nearly ruined our plans was a blessing in disguise as we would never have experienced The Woodstock Arms otherwise. This is hands down our new place every time we stay in Woodstock. I would highly recommend staying, and if not, visiting for the food and staff alone! Thank you so much for making our stay incredible!
