Deep Blue Fish & Chips - Isle of Wight

Rating: 4 /5
Neil “Throwin a sickie” Good old fashion fish and chips. Excellent serving of fish, batter was on point, nice size chips. Came with mushy peas on the side. Great views of the cruise ships leaving. On the day we watched 4 leave. In and out of showers we could also see the isle of wright. Service was good, food was served quickly. Limited spirits on offer, understanding its hard to please everyone, but still something to choose. from.

Twickenham Charcoal Grill - Richmond upon Thames

Sahil Rustami Charcoal Grill is definitely a place to visit. Sergi always greets me upon arrival making me feel at home. Very generous portions considering the prices and current economic state. Food and service is always 10/10 never missed. I recommend the Lamb Kofte and Shish highly as they are my favourites. Along with a generous portion of chips for only £3 on the side which is definitely enough to fill an individual. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Zara Burtonshaw We had the most amazing late lunch/early dinner at ASK Lewes. The team are so kind and considerate, always keeping everything clean with super speedy service. It’s a lovely place to eat with great atmosphere - we make quite a long journey to this one because it’s our favourite. Worth every penny!

Stephan Desmoulin Came here for Christmas lunch. They had a special menu for the day, and despite normally requesting reservations two weeks in advance, they were able to accommodate me the same day. Excellent food, a nice atmosphere, and very friendly staff made this a great meal for the holidays. Will come again when Im in the area!

Adam T Great meal, lovely welcoming staff. The tiffin was not something I’d come across before but now it’ll be hard to go back to a “normal” curry where you just have one dish. The concept of 3 curries and a rice or naan really suits my taste and I can see why it’s a thing. I did find all the curries on the sweeter side and if you want some spice you should ask for it. I’d definitely go back

ROKA Canary Wharf -

Paul Boakes Visited as a family of four, and opted for the ÂŁ58 ROKA han setto brunch menu. The starters were fantastic, with an endless supply - until your mains are served - of salad, chicken, dumplings, sushi, kim chi, endamame and sashimi. My advice would be to fill up on the starters because... ...the mains werent quite as good. We had the sirloin, which was good, but the ribs (pictured) and the salmon (pictured) were lacking on the flavour. Nothing particularly wrong, they just didnt have the wow factor of the starters. I was also surprised by one portion of steamed rice being delivered: unexpected, un-asked for and fortunately, un-charged for as well. It wasnt mentioned on the menu...?!?! Dessert (pictured), however, recovered the game, and was a selection of chilled, frozen and fresh items: banana ice cream, sorbet, cheesecake, fruits, and so on. Service was inpeccable - spot on, attentive, polite, efficient, friendly. Absolutely flawless. Total bill came to ÂŁ350 including service for 4 x adults at ÂŁ58/each plus 7 x beers, and 3 x diet coke. We were in and out within 90 minutes on a lively Sunday lunchtime. Top tip: book for the lounge, which is much quieter and airier than the more enclosed area at the back of the restuarant. And it can be a little tricky to find, as its on the first floor of a building - took us a few minutes, and this was a second visit!
