5 /5 Daniel Iwuchukwu: I don’t usually write long reviews, but the service we received from Maks at COSMO Romford was so exceptional that it absolutely deserves recognition. From the minute we were welcomed to the moment we left, she transformed what could have been a typical buffet visit into a genuinely memorable experience.
Right from the start, Maks greeted us with warmth, confidence, and a smile that instantly made us feel comfortable. Even though the restaurant was extremely busy, she managed to remain calm, organised, and incredibly welcoming. She showed us to our table with a friendly professionalism, taking the time to check whether we had been before and explaining anything we needed to know without rushing us.
Throughout our visit, her attention to detail was impeccable. She cleared our plates quickly but never made us feel hurried. Drinks were topped up before we even thought to ask, and she always seemed to know exactly when to check on us. Despite the pressure of a fully booked restaurant, she somehow maintained perfect timing and awareness, balancing efficiency with genuine warmth—which is a rare skill.
What stood out most, though, was how personally invested she seemed in making sure we enjoyed ourselves. When we asked about specific dishes and allergy options, she gave confident, clear answers and guided us through alternatives that matched exactly what we needed. You could tell she knows the menu inside out, but even more importantly, she cares about helping guests feel safe, comfortable, and well taken care of.
On a personal level, Maks is incredibly friendly and naturally upbeat. She has the kind of personality that brightens the atmosphere without even trying. She made us laugh, made us feel welcome, and created the kind of positive energy that genuinely elevates a night out. Even when juggling multiple tables, she took a moment to connect with us, making the whole experience feel personal rather than transactional.
By the end of the night, everyone at our table agreed that Maks was one of the main reasons our visit was so enjoyable. Good food is one thing, but truly excellent service is what makes people come back—and Maks absolutely delivered that. Her professionalism, her kindness, and her dedication to providing outstanding service deserve to be recognised.
If COSMO Romford has any sort of employee recognition programme, Maks should be at the top of the list. She is a credit to the restaurant, and we will definitely be returning—hopefully on a night when she’s working, because she genuinely made our experience special.
