5 /5 Carl Johan Pettersen: Came with high expectations as the recommendations has been very clear. If you are in London and is looking for a different gourmet experience this is the place. The food match any Michelin star restaurant but it is served in a friendly and unformal way. Fantastic knowledge in wine with a clear focus on not so known areas and wineries, but with outstanding qualities. You sit at the counter and feel really comfortable and well served and followed up by the staff and the chefs. Will visit again and the try the premium wine pairing.

5 /5 Thi Carv: I really like this place. This is the second time we’ve been here, and once again it delivered a great experience. Today, the flavours were very different, and in a very good way. Everything feels thoughtful and genuinely interesting to try, with clear work and intention behind each dish. I admit I’m a bit tired of Michelin starred restaurants that seem to rely on the same formula, serving everything with caviar, scallop mousse, and yuzu. It often feels expensive but not very adventurous. Here, there is real work across a wide range of ingredients, with bold contrasts, very different flavours, and a rich, expressive palette. I highly recommend this place for a true culinary experience. Tonight, we even had an artichoke dessert. Not my favourite dessert in the world, but I loved the fact that I tried something genuinely new, and I finished it entirely. Thumbs up up

5 /5 Jaime Swartz: Absolutely incredible experience at Counter 71. The dishes were stunning, unique, and full of flavor. The staff were outstanding. Great presentation of each dish and very attentive to all guests. I did the sommelier wine pairing and all wines were beautifully matched with the food. Would swap in a 2nd red out of the 5 wines. Highly recommend for a world class dinner experience!

5 /5 Lorna W: This is a newish eatery in town which serves nouveau European cuisine with an oriental twist. We were invited by a friend to try their tasting menu. We also discovered there was a cocktail bar tucked away in the basement which had a nice ambience. Upon coming round the Chefs counter, we had the fun of watching how the two young chefs and the proprietor swooned around their creations & served the drinks. Each of the twelve courses seemed like a small mouthful, but were beautifully presented. At the end of the meal, even our bigger eater said he felt quite full. Of all the dishes, I must say I liked the octopus & venison with black barley best, though buckwheat with brown sugar was really quite sublime too. All in all, great effort & a wonderful evening.

3 /5 Bahareh Fatemi: Out of the ten courses, only four (one starter, one main, and two desserts) were enjoyable. The rest of the dishes had an unpleasant fishy taste, and the wheat-based course was severely undercooked. I had very high expectations based on strong reviews and word of mouth, which is why I chose this restaurant. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of those expectations, and I left feeling quite disappointed. As a result, I wouldn’t recommend it.
