Toby Carvery South Croydon - Croydon

Rating: 4.4 /5
Lucy Walker I went with 2 friends to the Toby Carvery South Croydon for lunch today. We were served by a lovely young man, Tyler, who was very kind, polite & professional. He was great. We had a Carvery & although enjoyable, we all thought the food was lukewarm & could have been much hotter. We were surprised as we went early for the Carvery, about 12.30. Hope something could be done to make the food hotter & more enjoyable. The Yorkshire pudding was huge & took up half the plate. I think that a smaller Yorkshire pudding would have been better. However I enjoyed the apple crumble & rose wine spritzer.

Nb Bak ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Service and Fresh Food! I had a wonderful experience at Amigos thanks to Dhruv and Amisha. They were both incredibly kind, attentive, and provided outstanding customer service. It’s clear they truly care about their customers and the quality of the food. Everything was served fresh and delicious, and their friendly attitude made the visit even better. Their commitment to excellent service and fresh food is a real credit to the Amigos team. I hope their hard work and kindness are recognized. They truly represent the best of what the brand stands for! Highly recommend visiting Amigos, Both Dhruv and Amisha make the place even more welcoming and enjoyable.

Ndidiamaka Idimogu This is the worst ogbono soup and semovita I have ever eaten in my life. The soup came in tasteless, inhomogeneous lumps with no consistency whatsoever, poorly cooked and completely inedible. I have never encountered food this badly prepared. I would genuinely rather go hungry than eat this again. The semovita was even worse: dry, chaff-like, and incapable of holding together to form a single ball of swallow. It kept breaking apart in bristles, making eating practically impossible. The fish was barely acceptable, but too fishy and certainly not worth the price. After struggling through this so-called meal, I had to order a pizza. Calling this food is being generous. It shouldnt even get a one star rating.

Eve Brady The best Chinese takeaway in the area, everything I’ve had from here has been delicious, arrived on time and they often include freebies like spring rolls, prawn crackers and chicken wings! Would recommend the crispy chilli beef and black bean chicken

Neil King A quick google found this cafe for us when we were looking to kill an hour and it was teaming with rain, so a walk wasnt practical. Well run cafe with a great selection of sweet and savoury items to go with some excellent coffee. The place was busy, but finding a table wasnt an issue. It really does seem to be a real community asset, dedicated play area for the younger ones, a selection of board games, both to be used and purchased and a bit of gallery space if any of the pictures take your fancy. Staff all seemed happy and cheerful. The Ox Shed more than served our needs.
