Fridrich Nicshe We relaxed in the restaurant that evening. Everything was wonderful, with a variety of delicious dishes, especially the sushi from Chef Muhammad. Amir recommended the excellent hookah; it wasnt bitter, but smooth. We were always well-served. Id also like to thank Yana and Kamila for their wonderful service and smiles. Well definitely come back again and will recommend them to our friends.

ThePolishTraveller very friendly service, Im guessing Cypriot Turks so also very cordial ;) Portions huge, fresh and tasty - all you need from this type of cafe. The early lunch hour can be busy as the place seems to be favourite amongst the bus drivers and local tradesmen.

Star Creek & Josh Creek There are some history boards on some of the nearby buildings, as it was previously a dairy farm with working horses. The food and drink is very good and outside tables are available.

The menu is a standout, offering a great selection of hearty pub classics alongside some more creative dishes. The Sunday roast is a must-try—perfectly cooked and generously portioned. Their drink options are equally impressive, with a range of ales, beers, and a well-curated wine list. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual drink, a delicious meal, or just a friendly chat with locals, The Globe delivers. It’s a true gem in Brentford and well worth a visit.

Nara Lam Popped into Old Town 97 in Brentford for a meal and it was a solid experience. The drinks were a great start, the Iced Yuan Yang was very authentic, and the Iced Lemon Tea was refreshing with a lovely citrus fragrance. For the mains, we tried the famous LSE Fried Rice. It’s egg fried rice topped with a smooth egg gravy and black pepper chicken chop; it had great "wok hei" and was very satisfying. We also had the Three Meat Roast Combo (roast duck, char siu, and roast pork), which was decent and met expectations, would say the roast pork was slightly fatty. The Salt and Pepper Squid was a real highlight, perfectly seasoned and very tasty. Squid just perfect, not too chewy. We finished with some dim sum: the Chive Dumplings and Steamed Spare Ribs with Black Bean Sauce, both were well made and consistent. Reliable spot for comforting Cantonese food. Will be back!
