Kevin Crampton So, I didnt realise that the Harvester was still around and the bottomless salad bar took me straight back to happy memories of the 1980s. We were a large group of 16 people for a birthday party and the restaurant took impeccable care of us. Our waitress Kimberley was absolutely spot on, managing the huge and confusing order, settling us in including elderly family members and making sure that the whole evening went off really well. A huge thanks to all the staff and a great, family-friendly service.

Helen Seward-Porter We use this pub on a regular basis. The service is exceptional and the team members are very attentive. Especially LUCIAN, who is so good at his job and has a smile for every customer. Currently The Griffin is decorated for Christmas and looks very festive and also there is a wonderful real fire burning every day and evening which creates a lovely atmosphere.

Carlos Fonseca Good place with an wide range of brunch options. From avocado to smooked salmon they will likely have something for your taste. Well presented and tasty dishes. The milkshakes were excellent as well. Small space with not many tables inside. During summer the outside is perfect but during winter its a bit cold even with heating on. If you are after a local brunch place this is an excellent option.

Julie-Anne Clements I booked a table upstairs for Sunday lunch over the bank holiday weekend for 5 ladies celebrating a birthday. The food was fantastic, it came out quickly, was beautifully cooked and the presentation was great. 4 of us had the roast beef and 1 had the roasted butternut squash and we shared side dishes of cauliflower cheese. All of the food was outstanding. The staff were lovely, really friendly and attentive. We also enjoyed the music playing, the decor and general atmosphere. We are not local and were staying in the area and had booked The Rock Lodge based on a Google and Trip Advisor search. We highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely visit again when in the area.
