5 /5 James Bates: Went for afternoon tea - 9 adults and 2 baby/toddlers - it was a magical experience with a lovely decorated table with crackers , plenty of tea and an astonishing number of sandwiches, both meat and vegetarian , all very well made - in fact we voted the sandwiches the best we had ever had at an afternoon tea - there were large numbers of scones and cakes - we took 6 boxes home !! All of it was well presented , the staff were lovely and all our party thoroughly enjoyed it . A hidden gem , in our opinion - and well worth a return journey - our party included visitors from Dubai and Germany and they will go home with some very good memories - try it , you won’t be disappointed . As to costs - less than £30 per adult seemed very fair .

1 /5 Harry: Terrible. No one answered the phone in the weeks before arrival or returned my call when I left a message. No one was on reception after the 3 pm check-in or at 9:30 am when we checked out, and we had to wait 10 minutes each time for someone to appear. There was one very good waitress. The room was either too hot or too cold. The TV only had three channels that were poorly tuned, and the room safe was locked and couldnt be used. The plug sockets didnt work so we could not charge our phones or make a hot drink. The shower head was so silted up with limescale that the water would not spray out. The walls are paper thin and unfortunately you can hear everything the people in adjacent rooms are saying! It looks like the decor has not been refurbished since the 1980s or 1990s. This hotel is on the outskirts of Canterbury and is overpriced for what it is and for what it offers: £125 for a double room. There are far better alternatives much closer to the city centre. Incredibly disappointing.

5 /5 Regina Carolina: It is a lovely place. The staff is really helpfull and great. The room was great also. Breakfast too. And it is not that expensive either. I was really tired and I didnt walk around that much. Beds were great. If I come in this area I would surely to this place. Thanks for the warm welcome

2 /5 Ray Mathias: I booked this hotel expecting its out of town location to mean it would be quiet and peaceful. I was so wrong. Our room was directly over the function suite and we were subjected to 4 hours of disco beat, screaming party-goers and every word of the DJs banter. So loud it was pointless trying to use the TV, difficult to concentrate to read a book and impossible to sleep until after midnight. Not a word of warning from staff. When I complained in the morning, I was told the hotel was full and it had not been possible to move anyone. I now realise this hotel markets itself as a local wedding and event venue. So I suggest anyone looking for a peaceful stay avoid this place at weekends. The food was adequate. The staff were helpful except with regard to warning us of the noise issue and following up our complaint
