Alamanjo Christabel My friends and I were walking past in Leyton when we spotted this place and decided to go in, and honestly, not for a second did we regret it. Everything we tried was so good and full of flavour. The meat pie, suya, loaded plantain, fish, puff puff and jollof rice were all delicious, and the prices were very affordable too. We enjoyed it so much that we couldn’t resist ordering extra to take away with us. Definitely a spot worth stopping by if you’re in the area.

B Oguns Our waiter Remi was honestly amazing. She was approachable, caring, and attentive. She catered to all our needs with ease. Promotion required immediately. Now the for the food, food was 10/10 and I am fussy. Loved it. FYI - THIS WAS NOT A PAID PROMOTION!!! Thank you Remi, see you at our next hike, Bemi aka Madam xxxx

Rosie D Best Indian I’ve ever had! The food was to die for, I don’t know how they make simple lentils taste so incredible!! Everything we ate was amazing, we had poppadoms then scallops and chicken tikka to start, lamb shoulder and biryani for mains and a Dahl makani and it was absolutely delicious! They bought out a dessert and candle for my husband as it was his birthday and it was very sweet. Cant recommend going here enough

Violet Elvey We was at o bar on Saturday for friends birthday 2nd November 2025 4 pm till 7 pm it was fantastic. The staff are friendly and very polite. The manager is excellent. Atmosphere is brilliant. The food was lovely. scored it at 10. I am a party planner and in invent manager And I would definitely plan a party in there Only thing I would say are the toilets are little not much room in there at all, but that is the only thing I would Moan about

Lisa Guest If you find yourself in Newport, walk down to the harbour to The Barhemans Rest, you wont be disappointed. Such a great position, plenty of seating areas outside and in. It was quiet, but still had a lovely atmosphere. The menu was good with an excellent selection, to cater for most tastes. There was also a good choice of drinks from the bar. The staff were very helpful and polite. The pub was clean and tidy, with a great decor which suited its surroundings. Our food arrived, well presented and looked as described. I had the home cooked Ham Sandwich, it was delicious, thick cut and moist. A most enjoyable lunch and excellent value for money. Im really pleased we decided to explore Newport. This pub is definitely worth finding.

Michaela North First time visiting today for lunch! Food was sensational, as was the service and decor. £5.70 for two bottles of Schweppes soda water for our wine was a little shock on the bill, I feel you could purchase soda siphons or a soda stream to offer this to guests at a lower price…baring in mind it is free in most establishments. Constructive, as we had a lush lunch with you regardless.
