Safila Kassim Loved everything about Zeret Kitchen! The Zeret Surprise was delicious and surprisingly reminded us of South Indian flavors like Dosa and veg curry. The owner is a lovely lady who provides excellent hospitality. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a soulful, tasty ethiopian meal.

Rimon Ahmed Back in August a work colleague said one lunchtime "boys let me take you to a place for some good lunch for the price of a meal deal". So we went to Falafel & Shawarma! It is a nice spacious simple looking shop, queue up on the right to order, then move over to the left to pay for and pickup up your order. There is long sitting wall benches on either side of the shop where you can sit in and eat, but when the shop is busy you will be sitting along side both queues. The staff were very friendly and professional. The gentleman who takes your order is always lively and having a laugh with customers as hes taking the orders and preparing the orders. Theyre always giving out samples of their side food items especially their roasted spice potatoes which are really nice. We each ordered their chicken shawarma wrap and their own made lemonade drink. The chicken filling tasted really good had that nice spiced marinated tase and the meat came out soft. They top the filling with a choice of garlic and/or chilli sauce which isnt all that spicy in all honesty but does give that nice taste to it all. The lemonade nicely compliments the chicken shawarma. We went again yesterday and this time I ordered their falafel wrap and that was equally as good! Also this time I ordered a portion of their 4 lamb sambusaks, which is like Indian samosas but made without the Indian spices. I liked them (being a bengali person) as they had the natural cooked lamb taste and had a slight taste of some cooking spices. For ÂŁ4.50 the shawarma wraps they serve up interms of taste and how big it is, I have seen other places charge around ÂŁ9! The side items like the Sambusak was ÂŁ2.50 and again worth the price! Highly recommended place to go for lunch, you wont be disappointed!!

Trude McLaren Madokas lessons is a brilliant peek into Japanese culture and food. The whole experience, set in a learner-friendly environment, is superb. The takeaway food is also plentiful, making it great value for money. Loved it and will return for another class.

YUHAN TIAN We came here for some authentic Hainanese food and overall it was a great experience. The sharing platter was good — although it says for 3–4 people, it’s really just right for three. If you want a more satisfying meal, it’s worth ordering a few extra dishes. We added half a portion of white-cut chicken, which was excellent — very smooth and tender with perfectly crisp skin, showing great control of the cooking time. It would be even better if the broth and surface were cleaned a little more thoroughly. The mixed rice noodles were delicious, and the green glutinous rice balls with coconut filling were a pleasant surprise — chewy and fragrant. The fried shrimp and chive cakes were tasty too, just a bit oily. The place is very popular, so expect a queue, and sometimes you might be asked to change tables or share with others. But overall, the food quality makes it worth it.
