1 /5 RLCP: Before I launch into my critique, I would like to give a massive shout out to the lovely and massively overworked cashier who served us. We ordered two vegetarian dishes with sausages and when the food came my daughters sausages looked different to mine. I stupidly assumed this was to do with her having from the childrens menu and only after she had her first bite did I see that it looked suspiciously pork like. I tasted a bit and indeed it was pork, which we dont eat. Whilst the cashier did resolve this with another meal, there is no going back from what happened. Again I will point out this was not the fault of the cashier but an error in the kitchen. My breakfast was awful frankly and even my daughter, a die hard lover of hash browns, concluded that mine was burnt and didnt want it. The picture is supposed to show a mushroom and hash brown...say no more. I left not even trusting the vegetarian sausages we eventually had. Another point was that the cutlery was not all clean. I did approach a manager who understood about the sausage scenario and offered a refund. I explained that a refund could not help with what had happened and tried to show her the state of the food generally, at which point she was no longer interested and started talking about the temperature of the hash browns being at a minimum. I did try to explain we knew what hash browns were supposed to taste like, and also what a mushroom generally looks like, but she became agitated rather than concerned unfortunately. The cafe might have good deals but at a very high price for ones digestive system. I would not eat here again and would advise against it Im afraid, particularly if you have dietary preferences or needs.
