H L-J Ive been eating at Afghan Flavours, Reading for circa 18 months now. I was introduced by my sisters friend and have kept coming back on my own, with a my sister or in small groups. Its very reliable, tasty, fresh and hot food. Family friendly. Very reasonably priced for the quality and freshness. You can see the kitchen from the counter too. Other reviews mentioning service speed need to show some patience. Freshly cooked and prepared food takes time and this is an increasingly popular establishment. I would describe as cafe style eating. Whether its the Channa Daal, Houmous, halloumi, chicken byriani, Qabuli chicken/lamb, chicken/lamb charsi karahi, Afghan style red kidney beans, Chaplin kebab paties, chicken or lamb or mixed tikka or lamb kofta - I recommend all. For drinks would recommend mint or green tea (loose tea) or mango lassi (glass or jug) or a fresh juice. I prefer to eat in, but take away is also available. A friendly and hardworking team. Vinoth Rajendran First to Reading and heard much about House of Flavours from my friends and Im from Birmingham. I couldnt believe it was packed on a Tuesday night! I ordered the Chilli Garlic fish and papadum as a starter and jumbo prawn biryani for the main course. I have to say, the food was amazing. The service was exceptional, despite the restaurant being busy. Mr. Nithin asked about the food, and thanks to the manager who also came to our table for a check-back. I couldnt find any fault. I went all alone but never felt like I was alone. The brownie was phenomenal too! Considering I was there just one day, Id definitely recommend it. Great value for money. Nithin explained that they have a buffet during weekends, so Ill visit next time for the buffet.if I get a chance to visit reading.

Raj Chinta Great service and food was delicious and flavourful as always. Lot of Veggie and Vegan options. We are served by Yuko, she was communicative and friendly with kids. Food is served without much delay even on Saturday afternoon. Recommended visit for whole family.

Ramya Great coffee, calm and comfortable space. Lovely staff. The chicken bagel ( polo Italiana) is a must 10/10. Highly recommend.

JackJackJack ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had such a fantastic experience at Harvester Horse & Groom and it completely saved our evening after a very disappointing meal at Village Hotel Bracknell. From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm and welcoming. We’d booked a table and were taken to a lovely, cosy corner which was perfect for our family. Our server, Sophie, was absolutely superb, attentive without being overbearing, genuinely friendly, efficient, and so helpful. She took the time to explain the kids’ options (including off-menu choices) and made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable. She is an absolute credit to the team. The kids’ meals were fantastic value for money and really generous portions. I had the tandoori chicken skewer with red peppers, onion, flatbread and jalapeño tzatziki, with sage and onion fries, honestly delicious. And the salad bar… wow. Every main comes with free, refillable salad bowls, and this is no sad plate of lettuce. There’s lettuce, yes, but also olives, bread rolls, pasta salad, potato salad, rocket, coleslaw, olive oil, balsamic, everything was fresh and full of flavour. We even got 25% off through the app, which made it even better value. Highly recommend if you’re in the area, great food, brilliant service, and a really cosy, welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Sarah Kelly Ria was an absolute delight as a server. The food was delicious. We had a guest with two allergies and she was very attentive and careful to make sure we had the best experience. The food and drinks were great. I had the meatballs all a vodka which were terrific. Portions were generous. The pizza was also delicious.
