1 /5 Abdul Khan: I never thought it would be so difficult to walk into a pizza shop and find someone to ask about my order and place an order for a starter.
But in this place from my experience, it seems to be standard procedure. I placed an order for 2 halal pepperoni pizzas over the phone for collection, I also wanted to add some mozzarella bites to my order when I got there.
Once I arrived I entered and looked around for someone to speak with. No one was present. A girl by the name of Eman which I later found out, walked out of the kitchen with a container. She decided to raise her eye brows at me almost like an inconvenience from afar to ask what I wanted once I had made eye contact with her. I had to shout across to her I placed a phone order, no acknowledgement or anything so I wasnt sure she heard me as she carried on emptying the container for the pizza making area.
I took a seat, waiting for Thomas to eventually come out, who did and so I asked him to help me if it wasnt too much trouble after being sat for awhile along with ordering some mozzarella bites. He informed me, he didnt see me. I placed my order for the mozzarella bites and proceeded to wait for my order. The mozzarella bites came out within a few minutes. Pictures attached of these along with the accompanying chilli jam.
Once my order arrived, I was approached with my order by who I assumed was the manager to make payment, on which I did.
I decided Id tell her on the customer service I had received. Thomas also came out and decided to ask what I had said so I thought Id enlighten him. He advised he didnt see me along with also telling me he thought someone else had already spoken to me. I wasnt sure which excuse was valid. I advised him he saw the customer that came after me absolutely fine.
At this point Eman had also come over to join the conversation, she seemed to want to speak with me now after I had informed the manager that she didnt even have the courtesy to come over and speak to me. She advised me theres a separate door for takeaway which the deliveroo delivery drivers use so not only was I now a deliveroo delivery driver but I had also used the wrong door to enter to collect my takeaway. I, of course should have known this.
If I had walked into a b and q to browse for a dust pan and brush, I could understand no staff member approach me but I was sat in this pizza place to get pizza, not as a hobby to past time. If I could get it off the shelf then Id have no problem.
The manager didnt seem to like me telling her how non existent customer service is, in this place in front of her 4 seated customers in the entire place. I was causing a disturbance by doing so apparently, so she decided shed threaten me with calling the police if I didnt leave. I had every intention of leaving, it was her staff who decided to engage in dialogue with me, not me with them.
If she had requested me to leave I would have just left, she decided shed threaten to call the police if I did not. I obliged by leaving as she was within her rights to ask me to leave and I didnt want to waste anymore time than I already had. She also wanted to let me know, pizza pilgrims isnt no fine dining place. Agreed it isnt but to have some courtesy to ask someone who walks into your pizza place, how can we help is too much to ask? I mean after all, I didnt walk in to sit there and admire the decor?
Id urge anyone reading this post to consider twice before going to this place, theyll happily take your money but will treat you with utter contempt and disregard.
First and last time for me.
