gaucho chancery lane

Gaucho Chancery Lane - Westminster

Rating: 4.4 /5
Isabella Chulu I wanted to take a moment to recognize Salima for her outstanding service during my visit last week Tuesday At Gauchos Chancery Lane for a work lunch. Even though she mentioned she’s only been working here for about a month, her professionalism, attentiveness, and warm personality made it feel like she’d been part of the team for years. It’s rare to see someone so new already delivering 10/10 service you can tell she genuinely cares about her guests and represents your restaurant beautifully. You should be proud to have her on your team! She took amazing care of my friend and I. She had even remembered i mentioned saying it was my friends birthday and to our surprise she brought in a brownie and ice cream to celebrate. She had even remembered how picky we were about our food so knew you can’t go wrong with a brownie! I ask that the restaurant please forward on this message to Salima as she deserves this praise. She made our whole experience feel special. Service like that really stands out, you’ve got a real gem on your team!

Six Clerks Restaurant & Bar - Westminster

Rating: 4.4 /5
Mira Shah Six Clerks is such a cosy and inviting spot inside The Law Society, The food was absolutely incredible. Chef Scott Dineen created a five course tasting menu celebrating British spring produce, and every dish was a hit. We started with London sourdough and burnt onion butter - simple, rich, and the perfect way to begin. Then came “Down the Rabbit Hole”, a beautifully done pressed rabbit terrine with lemon verbena emulsion and black olive - so delicate and full of flavour. Next up, “Eggs ‘n’ Soldiers”, which was hands down one of my favourites. A creamy Lancashire bomb custard, firecracker jam, a soft pheasant egg, and Wye Valley asparagus - comforting but elevated. “Mary Had a Little Lamb”—perfectly cooked Romney Marsh lamb, with smoked belly curds, morels, wild garlic, and kombu dashi. Every element worked together beautifully. “The Crossover”, a clever play on a hot cross bun with sherry caramel, whipped Baron Bigod cheese, and black truffle - sweet, savoury, and completely addictive. And finally, dessert: “The Humble Carrot” - a gorgeous mix of carrot cake, ice cream, pickled walnuts, orange marmalade, and dill granita. Unexpected, refreshing, and the perfect way to end. The whole experience was thoughtful, balanced, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.

Vasiniko - Westminster

Alessandra Scotti We had a wonderful experience at VasinikĂČ. Despite it being a busy Saturday evening and us arriving without a booking, they still managed to find us a table straight away. I mentioned that I was feeling a bit cold, and they immediately adjusted the air-conditioning so it wouldn’t blow directly on me — such thoughtful service. I ordered a gluten‑free Margherita and it was absolutely outstanding. The tomato sauce was excellent quality: sweet, rich, and full of flavour. The pizza base was honestly the best gluten‑free one I’ve ever had — soft, elastic, light, and not heavy at all. You could really taste the quality of the extra virgin olive oil, and the fresh basil on top made it perfect. The service throughout the evening was courteous, quick, and genuinely caring. Our waiter checked on us often and made sure we were comfortable and happy. Overall, it was a really lovely experience. I would definitely recommend VasinikĂČ, especially if you need or prefer gluten‑free options.

Christophers - Westminster

Rating: 4.2 /5
Sanj Visited Christopher’s for lunch and dessert to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and as always, it didn’t disappoint. The food was lovely — we had the chicken burger, and the sauce was especially flavourful and really brought the dish together. The real standout, though, was the brioche French toast — consistently excellent and easily one of the best desserts on the menu. It was a nice touch having ‘Happy Birthday’ written on the plate, which made it feel special, even if it’s a shame they don’t do the sparklers anymore. The atmosphere was great, as it always is — lively, buzzing, and full of energy, which adds to the overall experience. A reliable spot for good food, great desserts, and a celebratory lunch.

Amelia Bowles Just visited Oorja and was really impressed. The food is full of bold, fresh flavours, and the menu has some really thoughtful twists without trying too hard. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, and the whole place has a relaxed, modern feel. A great spot for a casual dinner or a pre-theatre meal — I’ll definitely be going back.
