Zyra Catherine I popped into La Genoise Café on a whim to escape the July heatwave, and I’m so glad I did. The air-conditioning was such a relief, and the whole place had a calm, welcoming vibe. I ordered the mushroom and red onion quiche, which came with a fresh side salad, and it really hit the spot. The portion was generous, tasty, and felt like a healthy, satisfying meal. I also had peppermint tea brewed with fresh mint leaves, which was a lovely touch, and I couldn’t resist finishing with a slice of red velvet cake. Everything was delicious and super fresh. The whole meal came to just over £10, which felt like amazing value for the quality. The staff member who served me was really friendly and the service was quick. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend stopping by. ☺️

C G The venue is really beautiful and has a lovely atmosphere. We went for the afternoon tea. I chose the Fortnum tea which was very flavourful. The scones were soft and buttery, and the sandwiches stood out for how fresh the ingredients tasted. Special thanks to our waiter (who was from Peru) who was very friendly and attentive.

The platter was really enjoyable, with the rice and sides complementing each other well. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. The service was also excellent, staff were polite, helpful, and made us feel welcome. Overall, it was a very satisfying meal and I would happily come back again, in shā’ Allāh.
