5 /5 Zoe Foncette: We went for a Sunday roast at The Pack Horse Pub. We were seated quickly, and the food arrived promptly after ordering.
To start, we shared the garlic Camembert. It was just okay…not particularly garlicky and quite expensive for what it was (£16 for a small cheese and two rolls cut in half). There was a lot of leftover cheese, which felt a bit wasteful.
The roast, however, was excellent! We both ordered the beef and slow-cooked pork belly, and were happy to see it came with a little crackling too. Everything was well-cooked and full of flavour.
We also added pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese, both great additions to the roast. The cauliflower was a little light on the cheese but still tasty.
Overall, we’d rate this a solid 8.5/10 on the roast scale and are looking forward to returning to try more from their menu!
