5 /5 Kristie Calvin: Fantastic Sunday meal at the Union Tavern! We had the butternut squash soup, the Sunday roast, and finished with the Christmas pudding—every dish was absolutely delicious. The food was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and felt like classic comfort done right. The service was equally great: friendly, attentive, and welcoming without being overbearing. A wonderful spot for a relaxed, high-quality meal. Highly recommend!

5 /5 Janet Dang: No frills tavern with the usually fried fish and mushy peas, burgers, and steak and fries. The specials are posted on the board and the service was very sweet. I would say the wait for food was average. Not terribly slow but definitely not California fast. I ordered the Scotch egg with curry mayo to start and I was shocked how well the two paired together. The fish and chips came out on a large long platter fully crunchy with a beer batter and triple fried chips. The fish was good where crispy but most was kinda moist and unappetizing. It came out piping hot so maybe it was the steam. I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt. But I’ve def had better in London. The sticky pudding was sweet and a bit dry. Just ok.

5 /5 gillian mcbride: Staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive. Food came out in good time and was delicious. Chocolate brownies and ice cream equally delicious and nice cocktails. Would definitely eat here again.

5 /5 Claire Brain: We stayed at the Grand Plaza and are so happy we came across this little diamond of a pub. I cannot express how stunning the food was, my steak just melted in my mouth! Great value for money too with the 2 courses offer and the service was extra special! Really friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for you!
