Veena’s Kitchen - (Near Surrey, london)

1 /5 XV VU: I really wanted to be able to write something nice here. The food is decent but the portions are disturbingly small and the prices are incredibly high. It is cheaper to go to a full service Thai restaurant in the same town than this take away. That surely cant be right. I paid £4.45 for a half portion of sticky rice. Which is outrageous because rice is so cheap and you didnt need to cheap out on us like that. Ive never paid these prices in London let alone in Farnham.

2 /5 Tanya M: The tom kha soup was too sweet with a bit of sourness and the coconut cream was probably only shown the soup before leaving the kitchen. The Kiln from Soho that is in the Michelin guide charge £2.80 for their sticky rice and i got a bigger portion than here where i was charged over £4 for it. Quite disappointed.

5 /5 Joanna: I dont know much about Thai cuisine, but if thats the real flavours of Thailand I do want to explore more! The dishes were well balanced, full of flavour and seasoned to perfection. Each dish had a decent amount of meat, nicely done as well. Even if youre not fond of specific flavours, still give it a go, composition will blow your mind. Black lemon tea and pancakes were like a cherry on top. As per the restaurant itself, its very clean, comfortable and the staff is amazingly friendly. Well definitely be back soon!

5 /5 Ella: A really lovely place with very kind staff. The chef made up a tom kha curry for me without the fish sauce because Im veggie, and it was perfect. Veenas Kitchen is one of my fave restaurants in Farnham because it has such a calm and chill vibe and I never feel awkward dining alone here. I highly recommend Veenas to anyone interested in trying it!

I ordered on Deliveroo - The Pad Thai with chicken was a complete letdown — it tasted overly sweet, almost like sugar mixed with ketchup, and the chicken itself had a strange boiled texture. I couldn’t even finish a few bites. The Tom Yum soup was just as bad, but for the opposite reason it was so salty it couldn’t be eaten. For the price I paid, this was incredibly disappointing. I won’t be ordering from here again.
