yuliyu 777 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a wonderful experience at The Taru Restaurant & Lounge. The atmosphere is cosy and elegant, the food is high quality and beautifully presented. We especially loved the beef with creamy mashed potatoes and the seafood selection with prawns, calamari and fish fillet — everything was fresh and full of flavour. The shisha was excellent as well. A lovely place to relax and enjoy a great evening. Highly recommended!

Heerthiga Winston We’ve popped in here quite a few times now and the place always has this warm, easy atmosphere that pulls you in. Service drifts a little slow every now and then, though to be honest it makes sense because the place stays packed. The food keeps winning me over. Everything has that comforting, well-made feel and the portions lean generous. The soup with the sourdough is something I always end up recommending to people. The truffle chicken panini has become one of those dishes I find myself craving. There’s usually parking along the high street, which makes getting here a bit easier.

Tom Flanagan If youre thinking of booking The Depot for a wedding stop reading this and get it booked immediately. We had the absolute best day there and its a great venue to get married in. Shannon and Imogen couldnt be more helpful and its basically like having your own wedding planners, The Depot also put everything out and pack everything down so its about as stress free as possible. We normally find wedding food pretty average but the canapes and buffet here were absolutely banging. We also had a couple of cocktail hours with multiple bespoke cocktails and shots and this was handled with ease. Our wedding was about as non traditional and DIY as you can get and included a 4 piece string quartet, a service in the Depot, a couple of musical performances and a DJ, all handled expertly and with ease. We loved that as there were as no hire fee, only minimum spend, every penny we spent went back into the guests. What are you still reading for, get booking. Tom & Danielle

When I was passing by the area, me and my brother decided to check it out in person and I was very satisfied with the experience. The waitress who served us was very warm, kind, and welcoming. It was very thoughtful of her to ask us about any dietary restrictions. The place is quite small but the atmosphere is very cozy. The food did not disappoint either! We ordered sushi, takoyaki, fried chicken, and drinks. The menu is clear with a good amount of options to choose from at a good price point. The place is also suitable for vegetarians and families. The entire service is 5/5 and I will definitely be going here on multiple occasions in the future.

dantrob The staff were warm and hospitable. I was offered a taste of a few wines before choosing the Cab Sav. A little heavy on the tannins, but tasty. The burger itself was textbook. The patty was thick, and the ingredients perfectly proportioned. It was, however, almost too predictable; I would have been thrilled with a bit more punchy flavour. But if default flavour is what you’re after, this one delivers the goods. I’d definitely return, and would love to try the steak!
