3 /5 Riggers 621: Tried China Brasserie for the first time this evening. The food was first class. The Starter portion sizes were huge and the Mains were certainly a good size too. The wine we selected was very good indeed and very sensibly priced. Overall the meal presented very good value for money. However, the Service was mediocre at best - plenty of waitresses - but all young ladies seemingly more interested in their phones than the customers and customer service. Waiting time for the Mains was quite ridiculous - but undoubtedly a consequence of the popularity of the takeaways that were constantly being ordered and collected. So maybe Saturday nights should be avoided if you’re looking for good or attentive service. And then there’s the atmosphere or ambience - or rather the lack of any - comparable to a Dentist’s waiting room. Great food, reasonably priced but unlikely to provide one of your more memorable dining experiences.

5 /5 Ketan Bhavan: Always a great meal at China Brasserie. Best Chinese restaurant in Aylesbury by far! Great veggie options if you like mock meat. They have veggie versions of most popular dishes which is great. Some of the highlights include the mock spare ribs, mock satay chicken and on request you can get the Malaysian style Ho-fun or rice made for vegetarians (without meat or seafood), well worth a try!

5 /5 Chukit Yong: We came to visit some friends from university in Aylesbury and have come to visit this place consecutively for two days. We did takeaway last night and the takeaway is indeed pretty long wait, i think their business is very good, lots of people and delivery drivers were waiting. But hey at least we had hot food, and it was tasty enough. So we went back this afternoon, to our surprise they only serve buffet and we tried it. Their chinese offerings are very westernized, but it is all good. Egg fried rice was done just right on the texture, the ribs and salted pepper prawns are very fresh and juicy, quite like the chicken balls they were quite a delight to eat considering the fact we are from Asia and not really something we see or eat often in that part of the world. Buffet offering is quite reasonable at 16 quid for this spread, unfortunately i guess we wouldnt have the chance for ala carte dining there, would like to see for ourselves if their service was that awful as per others written.

3 /5 amaka henry: I like the food as it tastes fresh. Not keen on their Singapore fried rice as it doesn’t taste as great. My only gripe with this restaurant is their collection wait times. Sometimes it is 1 hour or more. For New Years it is bloody 3 hours - I haven’t seen such wait times ever
