5 /5 Chris Madge: Yet another excellent Birthday lunch at Forty Four. Modern Mediterranean/Japanese fusion. All the dishes are faultless, beautifully presented, lovely mix of flavours and cooked to perfection. The Scallops, Calamari and Tuna were popular choices, be careful of the wasabi with the tuna dish as it’s the real deal not the fake stuff you see in most sushi restaurants. The Black Miso cod was sublime and chosen by 4 of us, it did not disappoint. To finish great selection of deserts, clean plates all round. Andrea (recently returned) was an excellent host and happy to share some chef’s recipes as it’s so good. We’ll be back again very soon, possibly the best restaurant in the area, what a gem!

5 /5 SJ Mack: Great Restaurant with an eclectic menu. Service is attentive and friendly and we were all offered a friendly welcome on arrival and departure. Food is really delicious, with plenty of flavour and very reasonably priced. Fantastic local restaurant. It was completely full on a Saturday night and booking is very much recommended.

5 /5 lauren chapman: We’ve walked past this many times and have always wanted to pop in and when we finally did, it didn’t disappoint! The lamb was melt in the mouth delicious, the miso cod was perfectly cooked and the starters were super tasty. The service was exceptional - Dimitris was very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us and the atmosphere and local live musician was a great touch. Highly recommend!

5 /5 P NJ: Excellent neighbourhood gem! I have been here a few times and introduced others as well and there has not been a single negative remark. The food is innovative and delicious. Nothing is bland, boring or ordinary. All unique dishes, well put together and inventive. What we tried on latest trip: The fillet steak had an option of pepper or truffle sauce and we said that sounds like a good combo for a sauce and they said theyd could do that for us....it was the best sauce on steak! The crispy chicken starter is my favourite thing on menu! Miso cod is excellent and duck bons bons also very good

5 /5 David Philippa Email: Had the most delightful experience with my new wife and our 3 children on Wednesday 5th Feb. We are lucky that Forty Four is within walking distance but this was our first time as a family visiting. We had pre booked for 7pm and the most friendly waiter called Panos was working hard as the only waiter. Despite having to cover all the tables and bar alone due to his colleague being ill, he was attentive, enthusiastic and pleasure to deal with. A true Greek as we have come to experience from our holidays in Greece! The food was delicious, the price was extremely reasonable and the service considering the restaurant had over ten tables to serve was outstanding. Well done Panos and the kitchen team! We will return for sure.
