Arun Chandrasekaran A colleague of mine took me this small and cozy Kurdish restaurant and told me not to underestimate the taste and the quality of the food by the look of it. He was right. I have had Greek cuisine, Lebanese cuisine, Persian cuisine, Iraqi cuisine and so on in various countries. But none of them comes close to this restaurant. This is the best middle Eastern restaurant outside of middle East without doubt. Their cuisines have an authentic taste to them. Their kabobs are juicy and very tasty. I love their thin breads with tasty curry. Try their lentil soup and Mashtaw which is made of butter milk, lemon juice and salt. The food is not expensive for the quality of the food. Must visit for any foodie!!

BARKIN DURLA We came across this Turkish kebab restaurant in Croydon and were genuinely impressed. The meat was very fresh and full of flavour, and the portions were generous. Considering London prices, the food is very reasonably priced and definitely worth the money. At first we thought it might not be very busy, but it actually had a good amount of customers and the service was quick. Overall, great taste and excellent value for money — highly recommended.

Jess Vasquez At Baggatis, you truly feel as if you’re dining at a family member’s home. The service was exceptional— the team is highly professional, attentive, and courteous. Jorge was especially kind and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed the food as well as the experience of watching the meat being expertly carved. Everything was delicious, and the portions were very generous. Highly recommended.

Hairdresser Home (Hairbyjose.co.uk) We had a wonderful night dining here on Sunday. The food was absolutely delicious, and you could really tell it was freshly prepared — the kitchen looked spotless, which gave me extra confidence in the quality. A special mention to the manager, Matin, who was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. Our waitress, Ashkan, was very polite and attentive throughout the meal. The decoration is tasteful and creates a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy your food. Highly recommended. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Juris Smagars We had such a fantastic time at Boxpark Croydon.. The atmosphere was buzzing from the moment we arrived – lively music, friendly crowds, and such a cool, urban vibe.. We went for paint and sip first, which was such a fun and relaxed experience. It was the perfect way to start the evening – creative, social, and lots of laughs. After that, we treated ourselves to an amazing Argentinian grill at Chimichurris. The food was absolutely incredible – perfectly cooked steak, full of flavour, and the chimichurri sauce was spot on. The portions were generous and everything tasted fresh and authentic. Overall, it was such a fun, well-rounded night out – great food, great vibes, and plenty to do all in one place. Boxpark Croydon is definitely one of our favourite spots for a fun evening. Highly recommend..!

Simon Lee I’ve been eating at McDermott’s for years, and was surprised to notice I had failed to leave a review sooner! Written by someone who probably eats too many fish and chips in too many locations: I reckon they’re some of the consistently best in the country. The batter is always crisp and crunchy, with perfectly cooked fish within, the chips are hand-cut, the staff are always friendly and you can even get London Pride in here for less than you’d pay at the pub! Always happy to call in, and even make an effort to visit.
