Isabella Gill Have been quite a few times to this pub and the fact it has a whole separate vegan menu is very special!! It is also very thoughtful — have had the vegan pizza, vegan nduja and vegan roast. 2 things to note — the vegan roast and vegetarian roast are both £19.50 although the vegan roast does not come with a yorkshire pudding which is disappointing — price should be changed to reflect this? also if you come on a Sunday book well in advance

Igor Vladisavljevic Absolutely amazing food! The flavours are incredible and everything is so fresh. Customer service is top-notch – super friendly and welcoming. AussieIslander This is a lovely old pub just outside the centre of Guildford. If youre walking on the Pilgrims’ Way, this is a great place to stop and refuel. Its a short walk to St Catherines Chapel. Alternatively, weve done round-trip walks from here to Watts Gallery in one direction, and St Marthas Church in the other. Both make for good day walks from the pub. The pizzas are huge and perfect for sharing. Good coffee, too. Id reserve a table if you can as it tends to get busy.

aaron m Brilliant night out with a few niggles We went as a group on a deal and honestly, it was a really fun one-night stay. The hotel itself is lovely, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful throughout. There’s a tiny bit of wear and tear here and there, but nothing that spoiled it. We upgraded to a junior suite and I’m really glad we did, it felt much nicer than a standard room and gave the whole trip more of a “treat” feel. The bathroom wasn’t quite as nice as the bedroom (a bit more tired), and there wasn’t a fridge, but neither was a big issue for us. This was our first murder mystery experience and it was great fun. The actors were brilliant, really got everyone involved, and we actually won, which made it even better. Dinner was included and the meal was decent, followed by the disco which was a laugh. Only downside on the night was bar service being a bit slow, there was just one person serving, but it wasn’t the end of the world. We also got lucky with our table and met some really nice people. Breakfast was the weakest bit, a few items weren’t available and the scrambled eggs were a bit slop-like and bland. Still, overall we had a great time and I’d definitely stay again, especially if it’s bundled with an event and the price is right.

Simran Sheemar The food was delicious! We tried the lemongrass & coconut cream curry and the slow-braised claypot which both had their own unique flavours. The iced Vietnamese coffee was also a highlight - we had to order it twice. Highly recommend visiting this restaurant

Louise This was such an amazing brunch place! I loved the food, seating, interior and how quick the service was. The wait for a table was only short. We were in quickly and the service was super speedy getting the food to the table. I got the Young Betty which was perfect! The eggs were poached to perfection with a lovely bright orange yoke. We shared the brown butter banana cake and it was so yummy with such a soft sponge. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back and 100% recommend to go here to everyone!
