Sam Booth We have been coming to Samrat’s for years! The food and service never disappoints, especially the lovely Ali who can’t do enough for you! Whenever there’s a special occasion we always order the Kurzi Lamb or Chicken which the whole family has come to love and enjoy! Thanks Samrat

Pauline Yoong Had drinks and dinner and ordered a glass of Bordeaux and grilled pork belly. Service was good and attentive but the staff seems a little short handed and under trained. The waiter didn’t know how to pronounce Bordeaux for example and took a while to get me a condiment i requested. They also asked for my room number 3 times throughout my dining there. Nevertheless wine and food were great. I had pork belly it was so tender it’s incredible.

whY2G Me and the family have been here multiple times for the last few years, it doesnt disappoint for each visit. The location is pretty good, train station (Canning Town) is about 10mins away by walking, bus stops nearby too. Food is pretty good, it doesnt take long once after ordering for your food to arrive on the table. Staff have always been nice which is always good. All in all, a nice place to eat.

Lovely House Dim Sum -

Rating: 4.6 /5
Sonny Pathak Went here for my birthday and I can honestly say: don’t let appearances fool you. Lovely House Dim Sum isn’t some polished, posh, linen-napkin joint — it’s basically a takeaway with a few tables, laminated menus, and Deliveroo riders flying in and out. But wow, the food. This is the real deal: freshly made, unbelievably fluffy, comforting dim sum — the kind you dream about later. The prawn tempura was light, crisp, and perfect (see photo!), and a standout yam dish came slick with chilli oil, sesame, and coriander — smoky, sweet, addictive. Real sake too, served warm and generous. Kathy, our waitress (and probably the owner), was wonderful — friendly, knowledgeable, and her recommendations were spot on. Everything felt personal, homemade, and full of soul. Exceptional value for money. If you’re nearby, eat in. If you’re not — get on Deliveroo. Either way, this is one of London’s hidden food gems.

Preem Brick Lane - Tower Hamlets

Tanu We visited Preem Brick Lane a bit close to their closing time — it was almost 1:40 PM, and they were supposed to close at 2. At first, they kindly asked if we could take the food away, which was completely understandable. But we requested to dine in since we were celebrating our best friend’s birthday. To our delight, they agreed with such warmth and a smile — and that’s where the lovely experience began. Our food arrived within 10 minutes, and technically we had only about 10 minutes to eat, but not once did they rush us. We finished around 2:20, and the staff never made us feel uncomfortable or hurried. Instead, they made sure we felt welcome and relaxed the entire time. And the food — what can I say — absolutely delicious! Every dish we ordered was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and served beautifully. But beyond the food, what truly touched us was their hospitality and kindness. We came to know that the staff were from Bangladesh — one from Rampura, Dhaka, who took our order and served us so warmly, and another from Sylhet, who first welcomed us in. Both were incredibly polite, humble, and genuinely friendly. It felt like being among our own people, far from home. It wasn’t just about eating and paying for food — it was about being treated with care, respect, and heart. The ambience was cozy, the atmosphere filled with that authentic warmth that makes a place memorable. We left with full hearts and happy smiles. Definitely a 10/10 experience — both for the food and for the people. If you’re ever around Brick Lane, do visit Preem Brick Lane. You’ll find not just great food, but also beautiful people who make you feel right at home. ❤️
