I am simply a follower of Jesus Christ. My only authority is His Word—the Scriptures—as the inspired, infallible rule of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17: “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness”).
The Bible places Scripture as supreme. Tradition, reason, and experience may help us understand and apply it, but they must never contradict or override its plain teaching. When they do—such as when “experience” or “reason” is used to affirm practices Scripture clearly identifies as sin—the result is a departure from biblical doctrine.
The Scriptures are unambiguous on God’s design:
• Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6).
• Leviticus 18:22; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10.
Jesus welcomed sinners with unmatched love, but always called them to turn from sin: “Go, and from now on sin no more” (John 8:11). The promise is transformation: “And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God” (1 Corinthians 6:11).
No one is saying people are unwelcome—the church doors should be open wide to every sinner, because Christ came to save the lost (1 Timothy 1:15). But biblical welcome means proclaiming the full Gospel: come as you are, repent, believe, and be changed by Christ’s power.
To welcome without addressing sin or calling for repentance is not love—it withholds the truth that saves.
Affiliation with networks like Inclusive Church, which explicitly affirm and advocate for lifestyles Scripture calls sin (without the call to repentance), represents a serious departure from biblical teaching—amounting to heresy in the scriptural sense (obstinate denial of essential doctrine, as warned in 2 Peter 2:1 and Jude 1:4). The church must not partner with or endorse such movements if it is to remain faithful to Christ.
I long for every gathering that claims His name to uphold Scripture as king, proclaim repentance and faith, and offer the true freedom only Jesus gives.
May the Lord guide us all by His unchanging Word.
