5 /5 Dave Bull: One of the best Sunday roasts I’ve ever had. Portions were huge but balanced; meat excellent and everyone gets a Yorkshire pudding. Wife really enjoyed the vegetarian Wellington and kids had half portions for half the price. Can’t say fairer than that!

5 /5 Katie Wells-Hursey: Jens and Kelly have something very special going at The Pickled Herring. The quality and choice of food is fantastic, and the wine list is reasonably priced too. The service is friendly and efficient, and the whole atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We had the scotch egg, smoked eel, and Tomahawk steak, all of which were delicious! I would highly recommend eating here, and booking is necessary at weekends!

5 /5 Suzie: By far the best roast dinner in Thanet, if not further afield. Booking highly recommended for this reason! We received a very warm welcome (special mention to Niamh and Sophie who provided excellent service). The food itself is outstanding value for money considering the exceptional quality and portion sizes. Lovely atmosphere. Overall superb experience, you will struggle to find anywhere better!

5 /5 Robin Arhelger: We had an absolutely brilliant Sunday lunch here. We tried the Roast Beef and the Turkey Roast—both were perfectly cooked and the portions were definitely generous. The food was delicious, and we really enjoyed the variety of sides/trimmings that came with the roast. Loved everything on the plates! We shared a sticky toffee pudding afterwards, which came with some delicious ice cream. Service was also great, always attentive and super friendly. We would absolutely recommend this place. Next time, we would pre-book a table, it seems we were lucky to get in for a late lunch!

5 /5 Kelly Farthing: Such a beautiful restaurant! We had a roast dinner and were impressed from the moment we walked in. The drinks menu was lovely, the food so tasty and our waitress Kaite was brilliant—her service (and the whole team’s) was amazing. The atmosphere was warm, friendly, and welcoming. We would highly recommend a visit and will definitely be returning to try more dishes !
