4 /5 Subir Panue: THE BEST STEAK I HAVE EVER HAD FULL STOP!!!!
Major congratulations to the Chef, steak was superbly cooked!! Mine medium well and my Brother in Laws medium rare, both steaks cooked to perfection and a picture perfect match for any steak cooking chart/diagram! It was tender, juicy and melted in my mouth and the portion of chips that came with it was HUGE!!! There were 5 in our group 4 adults and a 14yr old child (no kids menu!!). My Brother in Law and I had one CĂ´te De Boeuf each, My Mother Sister and Niece had the poussin. They also had Chess, which was a welcome distraction while waiting for our food, we almost managed to finish our game before the food came.
Regarding service, I do not go to Steakhouses or Steak Pubs very often and the Steak was spread across two menus which I found a bit confusing, I must admit our Waitress didnt do a great job of explaining how the steak ordering process worked very well so my Sister had to step in and explain it to me..... perhaps me being a bit dense....
Prices were a bit higher than I expected and steak prices are not shown on the menu as far as I remember (could be wrong!). Location is a Pub not a Steakhouse as some reviews have pointed out hence my surprise at the prices. However the food really was EXCELLENT and more or less worth the price IMO. For 4 adults and a child with one starter no alcohol and no pudding the bill was ÂŁ200+, each steak was ÂŁ75!!
DĂ©cor was nice, interior had a relaxed Bar Saloon type feel. Overall 4 stars due to price and service but 10 stars for the delicious food and ample portions!!
Would visit again!
Much better than the Vegan pub down the road!!!!!....... Vegan pub, who ever heard of such a thing!.... LOL
