5 /5 Wiebo Grobler: If Id known this place was 5 minutes from my work Id have been here more often! Amazing menu of SA food. They even have a Biltong trolley. Theres a cheese and wine room too, what more could you want? I had the best Ostrich steak Ive ever had, some nice boerrie, pap bread, steak, and Brannas and coke pork belly. Im definitely coming here for my birthday in Jan. Will lift the winter blues.

5 /5 Erin Oliver: We went to Vivat Bacchus in Farringdon for my boyfriend’s birthday on 22nd December, and it was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere was incredibly cosy and had the most wonderful festive, Christmassy vibe. The food and drinks arrived promptly and were genuinely outstanding. We started with the biltong trolley, which was such a great experience — the team shared the history of biltong with us and we got to try several different varieties, all of which were delicious. For our main, we chose the heritage braai for two with a couple of sides, and honestly, it was some of the best meat I’ve ever had in my life. Everything was cooked to perfection. Overall, it was an amazing experience from start to finish. A huge thank you to all the staff who looked after us — the service was exceptional. I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough!

4 /5 Sarah H: We had a really enjoyable dinner at Vivat. We opted for the shared platter, and all of the meat was of super great quality and cooked perfectly. I particularly loved the flavour that the butter candle added to each bite. Prices are quite steep, but the service is excellent (we were really kindly given a free portion of their specialty pudding after asking questions about it and it was absolutely delicious!) Will definitely be returning.
