5 /5 D: I read another reviewer that said hes happy how people rate this so low and agree with him because Millbank Gardens is one of those places you hope no one else ever notices so you can keep it yourself. Hidden just off the Millbank, behind the Tate and the government buildings, it’s a small, patch of green where everything - noise, movement, tension - just stops. As a park, its nothing special, really. There’s nothing flashy here. A few benches, a scattering of old trees, a narrow path or two. An outdoor gym...of sorts...but the peace is real and complete. You can sit and hear birdsong, wind through the leaves, and almost nothing else. I find this to be a little miracle in central London. Come here if you need to get away for while, get some space, or just a break from being a person in a city. Im sure this park isnt for everyone but there is something special about this very simple and common space.
