Royal Oak - (Near Berkshire, South East)

5 /5 Jessica Wright: Lovely country pub right in the middle of Marlborough high street. The outside is adorned with flowers which makes this pub look so inviting. We were served by a young lady called Chelsea I believe. Super friendly, welcoming and kind nature. She was attentive throughout our visit. The roast dinner was wonderful!

4 /5 Frank Punshon: This lovely pub on the High Street is definitely worth a visit. The stunning display of flowers in hanging baskets outside drew us in. The food was good, although the service was a bit slow. There’s an excellent range of drinks and a lovely garden out the back for when the sun is shining.

1 /5 Jason: Popped in hoping to watch some lunchtime football but were told they were only showing rugby. That in itself wouldn’t have been a big issue. What was the issue was the attitude of the staff member we spoke to — a young girl with short brown hair — who was extremely rude and dismissive for no reason at all. There was no need for the attitude. It’s a shame because the pub itself looked like a nice place and we would have happily stayed for food and drinks.

4 /5 Joel Pagett: I visited The Royal Oak whilst exploring Marlborough. It’s a great pub for a drink, with plenty of options to choose from. The weekend we visited they were running a £3 Aperol Spritz offer through their app which was great! The outdoor spaces were fantastic - with lots of outdoor seating for those summer time drinks.

5 /5 Alicia Utchanah: We had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Royal Oak. We turned up as a huge group of 30+ people and they catered for us incredibly well from start to finish. The organisation was spot on, the service was friendly, attentive and efficient, and nothing felt like too much trouble. The food was excellent across the board – great quality, well cooked, and everyone in our group was genuinely impressed. A massive bonus for us was that it’s dog friendly, which made the visit even better. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, even with such a large group. Highly recommend the Royal Oak – we’ll definitely be back!
