4 /5 MIRELA GM: Oyster Pond was built in the early 19th century to accommodate local shellfish harvesting. Originally used to store large quantities of oysters, hence its name, in the early 20th century, it became a popular spot, used as a lake where boats and yachts would sail, and regattas would take place. Currently, you can rent pedal boats here to paddle around the pond. There are several benches and a few tables around the pond. There could be more, as there are many interested visitors.
