James Mould I visited in April 2024 for lunch and a few beers. The pub is a very traditional building with a comfy vibe. The furniture has that time served patina that cannot be faked. Theres no music, no gaming machines, and no TVs. A proper pub that has a relaxing atmosphere which encourages conversation. The Landlady, Sam, is so welcoming that you soon feel like youve known her for ages! Theres a good range of reasonably priced food should you choose to eat as well. Ill be back!

George Isted My partner and I wanted somewhere a little bit special for our anniversary dinner and Tern delivered and more. A fantastic experience from arrival to leaving with friendly attentive staff and pleasant surroundings. We enjoyed the 5 course (+ cheese) menu and it can only be described as excellent. An amazing fusion and balance of delicate flavours (especially the halibut which was exquisite) that would be hard to beat and worthy of Michelin star restaurants I have visited in the past. Thanks so much for making it a wonderful visit including the extra’s provided for our anniversary. It was appreciated and I can’t wait to come back to see what is on the menu next time! If there was any criticism I would say the lighting above the tables was a little bright for a relaxed evening setting.

Jay Brown Went out for a Saturday lunch with friends. Great food, great service and all round great experience. Food portions were good for the price and our server Paula was very attentive-nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.

Steven Holman their breakfasts are very good and also they arent greasy which is nice and in my opinion its good value. £8.50 for an all day breakfast 2 and it was delicious. I had a white coffee with it too.

Nora Bertulsone Dog friendly place, absolutely amazing stuff. We loved food and service. Recommend this place 100% Kids roast was delicious and children enjoyed every bite.
