Ashley Smith We had our first dinner at Sessa in Herne Hill last night and absolutely loved it! Firstly, the location couldn’t be better - it’s practically opposite the station, so incredibly easy to get to.
From the moment we walked in, the team made us feel genuinely welcome. We were dining with friends and ended up trying most of the menu! The standouts for us were the Mussels Escabeche, the Beef Tartare and the Malfatti — all beautifully cooked and full of flavour. Also, fried pasta is beautifully simple but so good.
We finished with desserts, including an incredible banana ice cream (this should be a regular on the menu!) and the tart. A perfect end to a brilliant meal.
We can’t wait to visit again. Highly, highly recommended!
