The Prince of Burford - (Near , South East)

5 /5 Maz P: Stopped here for a bite to eat. They were running a reduced menu from a temporary kitchen setup - if this is the quality of a reduced menu I cant imagine how good the standard menu must be! Incredible food! We ordered a bunch of dishes to share across the whole menu and every single one was so flavourful. And they served until 9pm which was a great touch when driving around the area late at night. Will definitely stop again if we are in the area again!

1 /5 John Lymbury: The Hotel restaurant where 4 of us ate on the 4th February was appalling. Over an hour and fifteen minutes from food order to service and then poor quality food. There were only two other diners by the time we were served. We were then told that “last orders” for drinks was 10.15 pm and no concession were made for residents. At 10.10 bar staff refused to provide a coffee of any sort because the coffee machine “ had been closed down for the night and cleaned”. Really bad customer care. The bedroom was very small but adequately fitted out. The bathroom sink was tiny and not of great use. The staff that evening were generally polite but totally unhelpful when asked for something they seemed unwilling to provide and were apparently oblivious to the principle of customer service. We have stayed at the Hotel before and experienced much better quality. We will not be going to the Hotel again. The location is good but the management need to smarten up their act to ensure that staff realise they are in the hospitality industry and offer something in return for relatively high prices.

5 /5 Sarah: Fantastic spot. We stayed here on a road trip and unfortunately I got injured on the trip and ended up in a wheelchair during my stay. The staff were very helpful when my fiancé asked them where was the nearest hospital & pharmacy. They were very accommodating when we needed to stay another night and kept us in the same room we were in. They were even willing to move our luggage for us if the room couldn’t be held for us! I was a bit down one morning and one of the staff went out of her way to chat to me about our plans for the day and it really lifted my spirits. The decor is absolutely beautiful and it’s spotlessly clean. The breakfast each morning was superb and the little juices they serve are delicious. We will definitely be back next time we are in the UK and I’m looking forward to experiencing it properly without any injury this time! Thanks for all your help.

5 /5 Michael Spring: We were just driving past and stopped for a meal this evening, I had the roast beef and my wife had the cod, both meals were very nice and the service was excellent! The two young ladies who love old after us were very helpful and polite and made the visit a pleasure. We did not see the rooms so have not rated them. 5* for service and atmosphere!

5 /5 Emily Gainer: This was our 2nd stay at this hotel and it didn’t disappoint. The Manager greeted us on check in and welcomed us back, thank you to Mig and Chris! The Burford Suite that we stayed in was gorgeous, if I was to be super critical the bathroom needed a scrub/the sealant re-doing. The breakfast has always hit the spot, the bacon butty is delicious! The location for us is perfect as we visited The Farmer’s Dog again which is down the road. We walked into Burford both nights which was fab! We will be back!
