4 /5 Vittoria Brondin: I decided to give 4 stars instead of 5, mainly because, aside from the excellent atmosphere and very friendly, professional service, the food didn’t quite meet expectations.
Firstly, the food arrived surprisingly fast, which gave the impression that the restaurant was eager to turn over tables quickly rather than allow guests to enjoy a relaxed meal. The grilled halloumi, for example, felt overpriced given the portion, just three thin slices when I would have expected at least six.
The steak and eggs dish had good flavor, but the cut of meat was disappointing. It was quite fatty, and after trimming it, I felt like I only got to eat about 55% of the actual steak. This was hidden under a generous amount of sauce, which masked the quality of the meat. While the taste overall was enjoyable, it left me slightly underwhelmed.
The whole brunch lasted only about 45 minutes, and it felt rushed. We weren’t offered a second coffee or any other items to extend the experience, which would have made it more enjoyable.
That said, the staff were fantastic, warm, attentive, and professional, which made the quick brunch still pleasant. The restaurant has great potential, but I’d suggest focusing more on food quality, improving portion sizes, and slowing down the pacing a bit to create a more relaxed dining experience.
