3 /5 Aoki Sanchez: I tried Chaiwalla for the first time today through Uber Eats. I really liked how everything was packed — the food arrived nicely presented and still warm, even though it took almost an hour to arrive (the driver came by bicycle).
I ordered the omelette wrap and the butter chicken Bombay bowl, but unfortunately they sent me the wrong bowl — I received a Chana Masala instead. I still gave it a try; the flavour was okay, but the coleslaw on the side tasted a bit off, which made it less enjoyable.
The omelette wrap, however, was nice! I imagine it would be even better if it arrived hot. It was simple, tasty, and good value — around £2-something, which I thought was very fair.
Overall, I’d say the food is okay, but not something I’d rush to order again. They do have a good selection of items, and if I ever passed by one of their locations, I’d probably try the omelette again or maybe the aloo paratha next time.
Also, didn’t get cutlery— I can’t walk at the moment so is very inconvenient.
It’s a decent option, but this experience didn’t quite make me want to reorder.
