Lauren Kenny We had an amazing meal here, I’d recommend to anyone who’s visiting Hastings or lives there. It’s quite a small restaurant so I’d highly recommend booking especially on a Saturday night. But that added to the cosy/local feel of the restaurant. Being so close to the sea, the food here was incredibly fresh, with specials depending on what’s caught that day. Standout dishes were the mackerel pate starter and the seabass main. Delicious!

The food is always exceptional — perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. Whether it’s a hearty roast or a delicious steak, every dish is consistently top-notch. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and welcoming — it’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home. Jay and his team do a fantastic job every single time; their service is friendly, professional, and they genuinely care about making sure everyone has a great experience. It’s easily one of the best spots in Brentwood for a quality meal and a lovely evening out. Highly recommend!

The food was amazing, and in particular Chef Jaz invited us up to the Carvery and was so kind and courteous He was so sweet answering questions for my mum who kept repeating herself asking more questions but he was so polite. We came back for seconds because the vegetables were amazing and tasty! Thank you Chef Jaz for making us feel welcome and we will come back for more!

The team very really helpful in making sure the event was very special for my father and being flexible with our requests to make the decorating and hall special to us. The owner and his wife are the loveliest people ever – so welcoming and attentive, and you can tell they genuinely care about every single customer. It has such a warm, family-run feel which makes such a difference. The food is unreal every single time. Fresh, full of flavour and cooked perfectly – you can really taste the quality in every dish. Everything we’ve tried has been consistently amazing and always leaves us wanting to come back for more. The portions are generous and you can tell it’s all made with love. The atmosphere is cosy and inviting, perfect for date nights, family dinners or catching up with friends. It’s honestly one of my favourite spots and I recommend it to everyone. If you’re in Tunbridge Wells and haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out
