1 /5 Sue Mitchell: I have never been treated so rudely in Hastings and will never return. As someone in the service industry I am horrified that the staff feel they have the right to be so so rude and disrespectful.
Myself and a friend stopped by for a coffee, Aunday 3rd January 2026. I went in and as was full we decided to have the drinks outside with our dog, sunny and very cold.
On ordering the lady asked what table number and I smiled and said I didn’t know but described the position and also said we were the only ones out there.
Is he didn’t respond just out head down and wrote the order, I paid and went outside.
When the gentleman came out with our drinks they were in paper takeaway cups and I said we hadn’t ordered takeaway, at this point he said that without a table number they couldn’t do this and this left us free to sit at any table we wanted! So sarcastic.
I said he was being so rude as he walked away without another word.
We obviously left to drink our cold coffees and as local business people would not advise anyone to go there.
