1 /5 Jameela Gidden: Fewa Inn has long been my parents’ favourite restaurant in the area, and weve always enjoyed their food—its generally excellent. However, our recent experience with a takeaway order was incredibly disappointing and has completely changed how we view this place.
We ordered a takeaway and were shocked to find that the naan breads were completely burnt—blackened and inedible. What’s worse is that someone at the restaurant thought it was acceptable to send them out like that. When we called to raise the issue, we were told the naans would be replaced, which we appreciated.
But then we received another call from someone else at the restaurant questioned whether the naans were really burnt, and asked for them to be returned to the restaurant. It felt dismissive and insulting, especially considering this was our first meal after my dads passing. That added an unnecessary layer of distress to what should have been a comforting meal.
Unfortunately, this experience has marred our view of Fewa Inn. After years of loyalty, we will not be returning. They will never get our money again.
