5 /5 Courtney Prettejohn: Our experience at Lury was outstanding. The flavour combinations of every single dish was so well thought out, incredibly creative, and unlike anything weve tasted before. Out of the 10 x dishes on the tasting menu, there was not 1 that felt flat or uninteresting. Every single dish was standout. It was hard to pick our favourite dishes because they were all so memorable. The service was attentive and kind without being overbearing. The ambience is relaxed and romantic, but paired back in a simple way. We couldnt be happier to have a restaurant of this quality in Hastings and cant wait to visit again. And we must say, cardamom butter is an absolute revelation!!

5 /5 Elian: We came here for our anniversary dinner. One word sums it up: delightful. This is cooking at a very, very high level and it was a joy to eat here. There is impeccable attention to detail in every dish, the service and in the restaurant’s design and fit out. You can tell there is tremendous thought and care put into the experience of eating here. Even the portioning was so well-considered that we left exactly the right amount of full: not an easy feat with so many dishes and with so much variety. I would happily place it among the best dinners I’ve ever enjoyed, and thought it was excellent value for money. My girlfriend and I will absolutely be back here again, Lury is a very welcome addition to Hastings’ blooming food scene and it was a genuine pleasure to visit.

Service was wonderful and the tasting menu was delicious across the board - each dish was the perfect size and the flavours were unbelievable. We enjoyed some innovative combinations that Ive never seen on a menu before, all cooked to perfection. Strongly recommend the Arrack old fashioned to go with everything!

5 /5 dogsrmessy: A set course menu of 10 courses, all inventive unusual and delicious without being pointlessly fussy. Portion size perfect. Service professional and friendly but with a touch of theatre, all four of us served simultaneously by 2 staff members. The silver salvers were there in spirit if not in body! Decor unfussy and appropriate. Whole experience superb. Highly recommended, this is the highest end of the great local restaurant scene,

5 /5 Lisa E Moss: I recently had the pleasure of an exceptional dining experience at Lury. The service was excellent, attentive but relaxed and friendly. The restaurant itself has a great vibe and the resident artist is a wonderful touch. A great wine list, but the highlight for sure is the food, The 10 course tasting menu read like a dream but tasted even better. The mackerel was delicate but punchy, the crab pasta was a silky treat, the venison was just melt in the mouth cooked to perfection. Every dish was inventive, creative and delicious but one dish I can’t forget, and for me is outstanding, is the pork buns. The slight crust on the outside with the soft unctuous pork center and then the heavenly cardamom butter on the side. These buns absolutely stole the show. More please!
