5 /5 Harry Eveleigh: This afternoon we visited Paccata in Crouch End, and we’re already looking forward to our next trip back. The restaurant is spotless and has a warm, cozy atmosphere that makes it perfect for both casual meals and relaxed evenings out. The staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive — genuinely great service from start to finish.
The food is not only delicious but also very reasonably priced. In fact, considering the portion sizes and quality, they could easily charge more. The highlight for me was the beef massaman curry. It was absolutely incredible — generous chunks of tender, falling-apart beef in a thick, creamy, flavour-packed sauce. One of the best massaman curries I’ve ever had.
A friend insisted I try their salt and pepper chips, which are apparently famous among locals, and now I understand why. Hands down the best chips I’ve ever tasted. I have no idea what they do to them, but they’re dangerously addictive — I could happily eat them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Overall, Paccata is a gem in Crouch End. Great food, generous portions, lovely staff, and fantastic value. Highly recommend!
