4 /5 Iva B.: We had the fried chicken Poor Boy, the Beef Brisket Poor boy and the jalapeno poppers. Can confidently say the Jalapeno poppers were smashing and one of the best I’ve had! The Fried Chicken Poor Boy was definitely good and lived up to the hype so I would recommend that too. What I unfortunately cannot recommend was the brisket poor boy, as the meat was cold and lacked flavour, and due to the huge chunks of it, quite hard to eat due to the texture.
The place is certainly very popular so expect at the very least 10 mins wait time around a standard meal time, and they only take walk-ins, no reservations. We got a table fairly quick despite the lines as we opted for the empty outside tables, which really wasn’t the arctic as they do have outdoor heaters so if you don’t mind braving a little cold, and would fancy a shorter wait time then an outside table is the way to go. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the food was also done fairly quickly.
I would be happy to be back :)
