What Clients Are Saying Quayside bar & kitchen (GG)
5 /5 Emily C: What a lovely spot to have lunch. We walked from Herne Bay round to Whitstable so were very ready for a rest and refuel. The guy behind the bar was so attentive, food was fresh & delicious and cold pints - what more could you want!
Dog friendly too!
5 /5 Ali Hill: Sunday lunch at Quayside today was delicious. Choice of chicken, beef or nut roast. Huge pile of veg and meat topped with a Yorkshire pudding. Freshly cooked and beautifully presented. Extra bonus was that gravy was gluten free too meaning our coeliac diner could enjoy it all to (except the Yorkshire). Staff all very welcoming and helpful. Well be back and thank you!
5 /5 ragegamervideos: Absolutely delicious fish and chips, glad i chose this place out of the many places in Whitstable, crispy fish with delicious skin, thin but thick chips and nice beer.
4 /5 Rob Hodges: Only went in for a few drinks just before Christmas with family but was served really quickly despite it being quite busy. Despite it being busy we found a table to sit at. Lovely festive atmosphere and not too noisy so could chat and hear each other talk. Didnt have food so cant comment on that. Had a nice busy, but not too busy, atmosphere. Had plenty of events on in their calendar - e.g. live music, quizzes etc. Was quite cold outside but was lovely and warm in the pub. Would definitely go again for drinks.
5 /5 Amy Norman: Came here for dinner with my family and sisters family. Service was fantastic, the guy looking after us (and the whole pub it seemed!) Was brilliant. Super friendly, knew his stuff and was great with the kids. Food was really yummy. It was actually nice to have a menu that didnt have loads on! A good simple menu that had good classics on, and done well. Great value for money too. We will definitely be back!
millie Brilliant first experience here, lovely food and atmosphere! Polly our server was really friendly and attentive, as were the rest of the staff members!
Popsicle Had a salmon royale brioche which was delicious, and great alternative, good choice of coffee offered too.
Staff are all really lovely and friendly here, offering fantastic service, nothings to much trouble. Will be sure to visit again soon.
John Mash Lovely little cafe with top quality food and coffee. It’s a little of the tourist track but well worth making the effort. The sausage sandwich was delicious with high quality butcher’s sausages.
Dan C We collected a take out on Christmas Eve and really glad we did. The food was ready promptly. The staff were really friendly, the restaurant had a lovely buzz. The food was excellent. We shared a mixed kebab starter, and had 2 beautiful curries with rice and naan. Couldnt fault a thing. The king prawns in the jalfrezi were delicious and the naga lamb had a great kick to it. Looking forward to our next one already!
JC Friend recommended this place when we spoke about the best fish & chips to try in Whitstable. Glad to say I wasn’t disappointed at all. Great portion and amazingly fresh taste. The batter was light and chips were cooked perfectly. Seemed like it was a local spot since a lot of people came in after us and you could hear a lot of friendly chatter with the owner.
Natasha Bell Amazing Spanish food (and I used to live in Spain)! Good wine and all reasonably priced. The staff were attentive and friendly. Would come back!
