1 /5 Ellie’s rev: After reading the reviews, I had high expectations and hoped this would be a hidden gem. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing.
I ordered the crispy chilli beef, which was sadly soggy and rubbery and quiet flavourless. After a few mouthfuls, it became inedible.
The chips were flat-cut and looked appealing at first; however, the texture of the potato inside was extremely unpleasant—almost styrofoam-like—and completely inedible. I had hoped the sweet and sour sauce might improve them, but it did not.
The only item I found reasonably edible was the spring rolls. They had some crispness and flavour, though they were merely acceptable rather than memorable.
As the meal went on, there was also a noticeable smell of what I can only describe as old cooking oil or musty grease, which further detracted from the experience.
I rarely leave reviews, and I acknowledge that other dishes may be better, given the positive feedback from other customers. However, based on this experience, I’m sad to say I will not be ordering from here again.
