5 /5 Willem: Lovely pub to visit, owners were really kind and approachable. Something that is sorely missed in most pubs these days! We stayed in our van as we were heading down to the new forest for a nice break, they let us sleep in the car park without any fuss and even gave us a few spots to try on our way down there. Pints were good quality, very fresh and cold! We didn’t have food but the menu itself looked decent. In conclusion a really nice old school pub with charisma and charm, definitely would recommend visiting!!

5 /5 Laurie Farrelly: Was in the area & was looking for somewhere different to the usual Costa to get some breakfast. A lovely pub & I really enjoyed my breakfast. I opted for the small breakfast without black pudding & it was the perfect size for me. It was very tasty & the fried bread was perfect. The lady behind the bar was friendly & the pub was lovely & clean. I wouldve stopped longer if I had time.

3 /5 Dror cohen: A country pub with some nice touches but generally no frills. Sunday carvery at a good price but quality could be better especially the meat that was a bit dry. Service was ok but made a few mistakes and needed a few reminders until we got everything we ordered, on a not so busy Sunday afternoon. They have a nice beer garden with a small playground for kids and a few donkeys sharing the fence. So could be nice to sit outside on a sunny day.

5 /5 Clive Leaper: Ive found this a difficult one to review. There are aspects that I thoroughly loved, primarily the remote location, the timelessness of the pub, the friendliness of the staff . We enjoyed a nice drink before settling down for a pub lunch. The menu of pub grub was extensive and full of possibilities. I plumped for liver & bacon, which is a favourite of mine. To be honest, it wasnt fabulous, it was alright. My dining partner went for the fish & chips and raved about how good it was. Im kicking myself for making the wrong choice. Id definitely go back there to rectify my dining disappointment even if it meant cutting through muddy fields to get there, its like an oasis. This pub should get top marks for just being there and I feel confident that on my next visit Ill revisex my score upwards.

5 /5 A Basnet: Hidden Gem in the middle of Chalfont. Enjoyed a day with family and friends. Spacious back garden and things to play around for children and adults too. Great view from the back garden. Good service and the atmosphere is classy. Do recommend to visit if youre as around the place.
