5 /5 Uta Baldauf: We liked the sound of the menu(one of us is vegetarian) online so we booked a table on a Friday night and enjoyed it so much we book for the Sunday roast a few days after. All dishes tasted amazing and we both had red wine which tasted great and had a good temp. The vegetarian dish was well thought out and had many flavours and textures. The Sunday roast was one of the best we had so far, every element tasted great. The deserts were amazing the apple, black berry crumble tart with apple sorbet and french custard. The fruit still had bit the pastry was wafer thin, no soggy bottoms here, the sorbet smooth and full of flavour. An English classic re dreamed. The service was very friendly, if a bit slow at times. The food is amazing, fine dining meets pub delights, very relaxed and none pretentious. Worth the trip if you on the Isle!

5 /5 Chris Stallworthy: An excellent lunch at the Red Lion on January 12th A warm welcome and a very good selection of dishes on the menu. There are a good range of beers available and the wine list represents good value too We enjoyed 2 first courses of soup and a game terrine followed by stone bass and roast sirloin of beef then a delightful chocolate and coffee mille feuille between us. The staff were very efficient and friendly always with a smile. The team here have got everything absolutely right. Well done everyone we will be back

5 /5 Jason Carter: I do not have words to describe the food that Sean Jeffers magics up in this beautiful pub. Consistently excellent, I was here (once again) for my 50th birthday and genuinely cannot think of any restaurant in the world I’d rather have been at. The beef crumpet should be world famous - but the modesty, friendliness and unpretentiousness is what makes the Red Lion so fantastic. A brilliant pub that serves the best food on the island. Exemplary!

1 /5 sekai ennia: I was really disappointed with my visit. I ordered a meal with fries, beef, and onion rings, and unfortunately it did not meet my expectations at all. Everything was extremely greasy — the fries and onion rings in particular felt heavy and oily rather than freshly prepared. The overall quality was more in line with a basic chip shop, not what you would expect from a pub charging these prices. Considering how overpriced the food is, I expected much better in terms of taste and presentation. Sadly, I wouldn’t return based on this experience
