3 /5 Kapil Varshney: Soak London definitely makes a strong first impression. The interiors are beautifully done — chic, polished, and undeniably posh — making it a lovely spot for an evening out. The location is fantastic too, perfect for meeting friends or starting a night in the city.
The cocktails were a real highlight; well-balanced, visually appealing, and easily one of the best parts of the experience. You can tell care has gone into the drinks menu.
Food, however, was a bit hit and miss. The katsu curry unfortunately felt quite disconnected — almost divorced from the curry itself — leaving the dish dry and lacking the comforting richness you’d expect. The burger, while decent, didn’t quite stand out and could definitely have been better in terms of flavour and juiciness. On the brighter side, the dumplings were enjoyable and nicely executed, and dessert ended the meal on a positive note.
Overall, Soak London shines when it comes to ambience and drinks, but the kitchen feels slightly inconsistent. A great place for cocktails and atmosphere, with some refinement needed on the food side to truly match the setting.
