5 /5 Vijay B Sambasivam: Tamil Prince was hands down my favorite restaurant from my entire UK trip. I first heard about it from a friend after his visit, and based on how quickly it books up, I made a reservation almost a month in advance. Totally worth it.
The restaurant is small, cozy, and tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, which adds to the charm. The food was outstanding. We tried the okra fries, fizzy lemon soda, shrimp curry, chicken masala, coconut rice, and the parotta. The parotta was easily the fluffiest I’ve ever had.
The service was great too. Our waitress recommended the gulab jamun, and I’m so glad she did. It was incredible, easily the best jamun I’ve had in a long time, and honestly better than anything I’ve tasted in the US.
This place completely lived up to the hype. I’ve already started recommending it to friends, and anytime someone mentions a London trip, this is the restaurant I tell them about. If I’m back in London, Tamil Prince will absolutely be one of my first stops.
