5 /5 Leila Morby: First time at Ye Olde Six Bells and just sad that I don’t live nearer. My daughter lives in Horley and yesterday was her birthday. Myself and my mum drove up from Portsmouth to spend the day with my daughter and made a great decision to go here for lunch. What a beautiful lunch it was too. Six Bells is a beautiful old pub and restaurant with mainly original features, which gave a warm and cosy atmosphere. Gok our waiter was warm, welcoming and so friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and an absolute gentleman. I had the pie of the day which was my favourite, Steak & Ale pie, served with delicious mash, vegetable and gravy. My daughter had the signature burger which looks amazing, not a typical burger and my mum had beef shin which she absolutely loved; she had left a little bit so Gok popped it in a little box for her to take home. We then had dessert; I had Millionaires chocolate fondant, which was absolutely delicious. My daughter had sticky toffee pudding and my mum had Boubon apple tarte tatin. We left clean plates all around and cannot wait to go back, the next time we visit my daughter, even if we only pop in to say Hello and have a drink in the bar area. Thank you Gok for making our visit special.

5 /5 Maciek Matwiejszyn: We visited Ye Olde Six Bells today and there were definitely some positives. The pub itself is charming, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the food we had was genuinely tasty. The steak and game pie was excellent, and it’s clear the kitchen knows what it’s doing. Unfortunately, the experience was let down by the pricing. We asked if it was possible to order just a main dish from the festive menu, and were told this was fine. What we weren’t told was that we would still be charged the full two- course price, despite not receiving any starters. Paying £31.50 for a single main course, regardless of quality, didn’t feel fair or transparent. Update: Following my review, the pub reached out and offered a refund, which I genuinely appreciate. It was handled professionally, and they explained it was simply a human error. A thoughtful gesture and good customer care, so credit where it’s due.

5 /5 Oliwia Zimny: Lovely place. Great service the waiter was super friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the prices are reasonable. Lots of parking space so no issue there, atmosphere inside is warm and welcoming. Will definitely be returning.

5 /5 Darren: Really nice pub, has a very cozy vibe. Food is great most of the times I’ve gone there but there are times where it’s not been the best. The coquilles and the pork belly is what I’d recommend. There’s quite a lot of seating indoors and outdoors. Staff are friendly and service is good.

5 /5 Mo Ma: Lovely place with a lots of history. This pub was build in 1450! Very simple menu with not too many options. They have a decent size car park and staff is very friendly. We had a lovely time and delicious dinner. I definitely recommend it.
